Effie Kuriloff Biography • Tricycle Solution

Effie Kuriloff received an M.S. degree in early childhood education from Bank Street College of Education (New York City). She studied sociology at Douglas College (Rutgers University), receiving a B.S. degree in 1952.
She taught in nursery and elementary schools in New York City and Connecticut, before taking up residence in San Francisco. She was associated with the San Francisco Unified School district for five years and has been with the San Francisco Community College Child Development/Family Studies Department for the last thirty five years. Her students have included parents, toddlers, preschoolers, and older children as well as homeless persons, women prisoners in rehabilitation centers, and senior citizens.
The mother of three grown children, she resided in San Francisco.
